Jane Pittman is a prominent Makeup Artist working in the Fashion and Entertainment Industry for many years. Highly recognized in both New York and Miami, Jane is known for her flawless and versatile makeup technique and timeless style. Her work has graced the pages of Sports Illustrated Swimsuits, Harpers Bazaar, Vogue, Brides, People, and Vanity Fair, along with many other American and International publications.

Born and raised in New York City, Jane was accepted into Manhattan’s High School of Art and Design, (formally The School of Art and Industry, where famed Calvin Klein, Gerard Malanga, and the late, great Illustrator Antonio Lopez also studied). As a Fashion and Advertising major, Jane continued her education at New York’s Fashion Institute of Technology. She soon discovered that makeup was her true passion after taking a part time job for the British Cosmetic Company Mary Quant.

Recognized for her talent with color, Jane was trained as a makeup artist for Mary Quant. Thus began her lifelong career in the makeup industry. Following her training and experience at Mary Quant, Jane accepted a job with Charles Revson, whom she was trained with and worked for as a counter manager at Bergdorf Goodman, and freelance makeup artist for several years. She subsequently was offered a makeup position at New York’s leading Cinandre Salon, where she spent more time doing makeup on photo shoots than in the shop.

As an expert in her field, she has performed as a color consultant and spokesperson for Cornsilk Cosmetics, and continues to be called upon by Beauty Editors to give her advice on the glossy pages of fashion magazines. Jane has also taught modeling and makeup classes for several top agencies, including Ford Models, IMG, and Wilhelmina.

Jane’s celebrity roster includes some of Hollywood’s biggest stars. Sharon Stone, Harrison Ford, Jennifer Lopez, Antonio Banderas, Melanie Griffith, Martin Sheen, Jim Balushi, and Jodi Foster, to name a few. During Jane’s impressive career as a makeup professional and licensed cosmetologist, she has also worked with some of the world’s leading photographers, such as, Helmut Newton, Francesco Scavullo, Horst, Annie Leibovitz, and the late Pop Artist Icon Andy Warhol.

Jane has worked as a key makeup artist on The Break, a movie starring Martin Sheen and Rae Dawn Chong, and has appeared as a guest speaker for New York University’s Photo Dept. and New York’s Fashion Institute of Technology’s Photo Styling program. She has appeared on Good Morning New York with Princess Marcella Bourghese, and several other TV and radio talk shows demonstrating her makeup expertise on stage,and over the air.

As a true veteran in the industry both for Print and TV as well as for Fashion Shows and Film, Jane continues to contribute her talents, and resides in Miami Florida.
